Antonio Brown is the lynchpin for the 2009 JuCo Express, and his near-term value cannot be considered in evaluating the Green/JuCo trade.

Is Dean Sullivan to be spared no illusions of mildly competent GM skills?

The major motivation behind the Harrell trade was to get two stud receivers. All reports were that the Arizona offense was the next coming of the Red River Gun and that Thomas was Tuitama's main target. With 12 TDs last year, I thought 10 was a given. With WR all set, I could focus on drafting two high quality RBs. I was quite pleased with Mathews and McCoy. Had Mathews not been injured, I might have scored 30-40 more points.

With that all said, the major mistake in the Green season was not trading Harrell but rather trading McCoy. If he had started every week he was availible for the Green, my QB total would have been 178. If that occurred and Thomas scored the 10 TDs I was sure he would score, then I would have ended up with 532 points and a third place finish in total points.

Instead, I just have to admit my suckiness as a GM and coach. I tend to make trades when I shouldn't (McCoy comes to mind) and the ones I should make (Harrell) do not very well.

Let's face it, I haven't had a good draft or trade since 1998.
