Rooster Week 2 in Reivew

Some notable performances, lost coaching opportunities and thoughts on the weekend.

A week after getting cut by the Shamrocks Texas RB Joe Bergeron scores a TD, of course the Shamrocks are probably not too concerned about missing out on someone that had 2 carries for 3 yards.  But then again Bergeron's replacement on the Shamrocks had 1 carry for -3.

3rd draft overall pick Kenneth Dixon had 4 carries for 41 yards for LA Tech, backfield mate Tevin King went 20-182, neither scored, damn the Holtz family.

Ale holdover David Piland had an impressive 6-17-72 passing line.

It is generally unfair to judge MAC running RBs before October but I am comfortable calling the Green's vaunted MAC-Attack backfield a failure.

In other MAC RB news, Gaucho 1st rounder Tipton broke his ankle in week 1.

Did the D'Inc really sit Devante Parker?

Rat Kasey Carrier went off for 291 yards and 4 TDs.  I am not saying it was an easy coaching choice, just pointing out that it happened.

A week after serving up a donut for the Gauchos, Abdullah scored a 12 pack on the bench.  Nebraska's inconsistency must make for some agonizing coaching decisions.

Funniest stat line of the week:  Marquise Lee 3-27 no TDs.  The Green are probably registering www.lanekiffinsucksballs.com as week speak.

Green WR Isiah Burse had 2 PRs for TDs and a receiving TD on the bench.

JW Walsh pumped in 22 on the Rooster bench.  In the receiving department, Rooster WRs don't care much for scoring.

On the brighter side

Who the fuck does Ted Bosler think he is?

Longtime Cowboy Orleans Darkwa is finally delivering with back to back 12s.

Dean Porter,
Fine analysis. I concur: Dean Seidman's benching of Devante Parker was a head scratcher. And Lane Kiffin is about to get fired at USC. JuCo saw that one coming (sorry Chief - Randall Telfer for a 5th next year, maybe?)

And the Orleans Darkwa line - 42 yards, 2 TDs is annoying as hell.

I'm still bullish on the MAC RBs, it's only a matter of time. Akeem Daniels toe needs to heal up in time for October MAC magic to emerge for the JuCo.

And what is happening in Austin, and why isn't the best Texas RB in a decade being ridden like a friggin' show pony? Jonathan Gray is an unbelievable back - patient, quick, razor sharp and hard to tackle. What the hell is Mack Brown saving him for?

And who the Hell is Taysom Hill? That dudes put up an absurd line - 9 for 26 passing and 260 and 3TDs rushing...against Texas...in Austin?

Another thought: How does NIU go to Iowa and win, then get torched for 47 points against Wyoming? Brett Smith is for real, it seems.

Correction, D'Inc cut RB Texas. The Tecmo division is a lot like the Sun Belt, I always confuse the teams because I never cared enough to learn them.
