JUCO, I believe that the Commish stated that participants in finals could negotiate on what time period this covers. Do we want to include next two weeks games as well, so we can both have optimal lineups?
I'm good with the 29th.. doesn't look like there's any games on the 30th.
We should also clarify whether a player who goes in both weeks can be sat in Week 1 and go in Week 2. And if so, we may want to add a DNP rule for WR's -- if you're planning a Week 2 performance, and there's an injury at practice. Essentially, naming one back up and specifying week for a WR and TE.
The rules applied typically, if you have a bye on the 22nd, and a game on the 29th, the game is played over two weeks. That part is really not up for negotiation.
If you have a game both dates, we have traditionally counted only the first--that would be up to negotiation--but I suppose one could choose which game to play, with a stated back-up.
I think we put the best line-up we can on the field based on the match-ups over the next two weeks (22nd and 29th), with stated back-ups (and corresponding game) in the event of injuries.
Additionally, square away OT--you are allowed one additional tie breaker after ints (or two over all-you can junk ints and go to an extra player)--tie goes to the higher points team.
Further, the Juco is making it more difficult than it needs to be.
Juco, I'm fine with best lineup over two weeks. However, a player can not be their own back up should they be chosen to play in week two, thereby getting week one score. That would be silly, and encourage assasination attempts should they perform well in week one.
As for tiebreakers, I think naming a bench player (an an additional alternate should that player be pulled into action) is a good second tiebreaker. Keep the ints. Even though I lost a matchup on that rule this year, we don't want to basterdize the rule book :)
This set up has all the complexity of an AP Vibromatics class.
So in summary:
1) Best lineup over two weeks 2) Name back up at each position, specify game 3) No Self Backups. 4) Additional player as 2nd tiebreaker.
Hub: Works great for me. Thus, since the kickoff for the Championship is (theoretically) tonight, the JuCo would like to go with the following line-up:
JuCo STARTING LINE UP
QB - Lefevour vs. Eastern Michigan (11/29) RB - Wells vs. Michigan (11/22) RB - Jarvis vs. Northern Illinois (11/18) WR - Harvin vs. Florida State (11/28) WR - Brown vs. Eastern Michigan (11/29) TE - Pitta vs. Utah (11/22)
Back-ups: QB: McCoy vs. Texas A&M (11/27) RB: (1) Adams vs. Tulane (11/22) (2) Marshall vs. Rice (11/29) WR: (1) Simmons vs. Ball State (11/25), Anderson vs. EMU (11/29) TE: Zacherie vs. FIU (11/22)
(Good luck, Hubby. Not that you'll need it with these clowns.)
Johnson vs. Tulane Week 1 Hill vs. Cal Poly Week 1 Moreno vs. G. Tech Week 2 Bryant vs. Oklahoma Week 2 Fitzgerald vs. Mid Tenn Week 1 Housler vs. Ark State Week 1
Backups
QB- Reesing vs. Missouri Week 2 RB- Best vs. Stanford Week 1 WR- Murphy vs. Iowa State Week 1 TE- Fresh vs. Washington Week 1
Good Luck Juco ... out the gate with 6 from Jarvis
Having you on the JuCo Express these past two seasons, and most recently witnessing your pathetic shin injury during the Ohio State game, followed by Dan Herron's 12 point outburst, has lead me to the following conclusions:
Beanie is aramaic for "paper tiger". Your ancestor's armies surrendered to the French. While your mother birthed you, your father lay prone on the floor, weeping. You stil believe in the tooth fairy, Santa, and the Easter bunny. Your favorite game is "Chutes and Ladders" and you get your ass handed to you (still!) at Candyland. Favorite Movie: Devil Wears Prada Favorite Magazine: OK! Farovite Drink: Soy latte with peppermint Favorite beer: Ew, beer?
I have never been so amazingly disappointed, not in a player's production, but in his heart.
If you decide to return to OSU after this season, good or you. The pros will eat you up anyway. But if you do return, you might wear the scarlet and gray, but after the bowl season, you will never again don the royal and silver of the JuCo Express.
feeling a little silly for saying this playoff should be extended to another week. Murphy and Best would have had to start to the tune of 18 pts. . . Even with Bryant and Moreno, I'd probably take the 18 in the bank.
12 from Johnson is disappointing. Hill got in though, Rats at 30.
Been a coaching shitshow so far: McCoy's late game pass gets ruled out at the 1 (would've been 24), Lefevour tears up for 22, in his 2nd start Jarvis gets in for a dozen, then Brown and Anderson both score vs. EMU, on the bench. Seems its all up to Harvin and Marko Mitchell to turn in a historic performance, and somehow keep Moreno and Bryant in check.
close to a fight breaking out on the sideline of FLA FSU game. Need Percy to jump in there and get kicked out.
Moreno got 6- Harvin already has 6. Rats retain 6 point lead. Mitchell 0 at almost half. Bryant to play tonight. I think he's going to need to score, which will be exciting with a cigar in hand at Victory Bar and Grill.
A tear came to my with the last words of Polar Express ... "you can always hear the bells, all you have to do is BELIEVE".
(and Jack sat without talking for 2 hours watching that movie... that's a tip for all those parents out there).
I heard this was also playing in the OK State locker room ... and that Dez was seen whispering something near the end of the film.
I BELIEVE..I BELIEVE... I mean, the Rat Diety did shoot down Harvin about 5 minutes after asked. . . I BELIEVE... I BELIEVE... may the ghost of Chris Weinke look favorably upon the Rats.
I Do Believe, I DB, I Dez Bryant, Dez Bryant Does Believe. DB DB toast those DB's. It's all lining up.
State wants this game. That kickoff return was sweet. Even better not needing the possession. Dez got in front of the last guy. He definitely wants it.
A well played affair all around. I thought I had it in the bag heading into the second half, seemed that Bryant had been pretty well bottled up. Man was I mistaken. Either way, high drama - the 2008 CFFL playoff championship will go down as an all-timer.

Yes, let's negotiate. Games through the 29th count work for you? Let's talk!

Uh...I'm on a plane so let me look at the schedule before committing to the 29th....

Yeah this is going to go smoothly

Over/Under on JuCo line up changes with two weeks worth of games to choose from.

Up with JuCo. Way, way up...
Great, my lineup to come later tonight. In the middle of mopping.

Who the hell is Lemeric Muldrow? If he was on your squad instead of Eugene, you'd have 6 alreay. Does the Juco recruit solely from the Tri Lambs?
Rats Playoff Lineup (and backups)

Lumeric Mulrow is a jerk.
JuCo Line-up Change #1:
McCoy IN vs. Texas A&M
Lefevour OUT vs. EMU
(Gotta dance with the gal that brung ya)
Up with JuCo. Way, way up.
strategy to promote overcoaching is working.

Oh, and JuCo 12, Rats 8 after Johnsons 2 TDs early....
ROll Wave D!
Nice work, Tarrion Adams, stealing a TD from Johnson!
Is it Tarrion Adams day for Tulsa? Seems to me the Green Wave took away the pass and said "Tarrion, you beat us".
That's a JuCo "D" I've never seen before.
Fitzgerald in early...
Rats 14 - JuCo 12
Nicejob, John Clay - swiping a TD from PJ HIll! Well played!
Grind that clock, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Can't understand why Wisconsin doesn't stick with John Clay. That guy is awesome.
TD Housler...hmmm...
Rats 20 - JuCo 12
Johnson TD....
Rats 24 - JuCo 12...
Rats 24
3 Johnsons, and first halfers from Housler and Fitzy.
Hill is questionable to get in vs. Polyanna, but 12 from Juco RB's is satisfactory to the Rats.
Here's hoping Harvin's TD is better than what he does next week.

12 from Johnson is disappointing. Hill got in though, Rats at 30.
Hill an Eight point play to tie it up vs. Cal Poly. Here's to a long overtime!
For the record:
Big Green has 34 with McCoy, Woods, WR Arizona and 4 minutes left in UTEP game.
FUCK!
Rats at 38 After Week 1
Johnson 12
Hill 14
Fitzgerald 6
Housler 6
Bryant and Moreno in Week 2
Juco at 12 After Week 1
Jarvis 6
Wells 6
Pitta 0 (so far)
McCoy, Brown and Harvin in Week 2
Let's say 16 from McCoy, 6 from Brown and 12 from Harvin (though he's always a threat to blow up). Add that to 12 and you get 46.
Rats would need 2 Scores. Doable for sure, but against tough competition.
HUB
Ales 60 point day.
But the Ales aren't in the playoffs.
I just assumed because the JuCo was in it, everyone was in...?
JuCo Line-up change:
Lefevour IN vs. Eastern Michigan
McCoy OUT vs. A&M
JuCo Line-up change:
Mitchell IN vs. Louisiana Tech
Brown OUT vs. EMU
Up with JuCo. Way way up.
AGain, final JuCo Line-up:
Lefevour
Wells 6
Jarvis 6
Harvin
Mitchell
Pitta 0
Up with JuCo.
Way way up.
Why aren't you playing McCoy?
True, Lefevour has been an ass all year...
JuCo FINAL COMPLETE Line-up:
McCoy vs. A&M (Thanksgiving - Lefevour OUT)
Wells 6
Jarvis 6
Harvin vs. FSU (Sat)
Mitchell vs. La Tech (Sat)
Pitta 0
Unfortunately I read this chronologically. Imagine my chuckle as I read that LeFevour was back in. .. nice day for McCoy. It's gonna be a close one.
LeFevour 22, McCoy 20 . . . here's hoping those 2 points are meaningful.
Frankly, I don't see it happening...
Mid third quarter:
Rats 38 - JuCo 32
Dean Bowen:
Playoff tie-breaker same as regular season tie breaker?
Cordially,
Dean Smith
Yes--and further, a tie goes to the MallRats by virtue of having more points in regular season.
close to a fight breaking out on the sideline of FLA FSU game. Need Percy to jump in there and get kicked out.
Moreno got 6- Harvin already has 6. Rats retain 6 point lead. Mitchell 0 at almost half. Bryant to play tonight. I think he's going to need to score, which will be exciting with a cigar in hand at Victory Bar and Grill.
... and let the rains hurl down upon Harvin . . .
Mitchell scored... Juco, Rats tied at 44. FUCK.
Harvin may be out, but Mitchell in for #2...50-44 juco on top...
You know the Sooners are going to double Dez all night, too. This is not good, but if I need one of my players to put in 2, he's the one I'd turn to.
Gonna settle in to a DVR'd Polar Express up until game time. This will be the most action I've had on a game in years.
Good luck. . . and please no more from Mitchell.
Boomer Sooner! Boomer Sooner!
Rock-loma, rock-loma, rockloma...
Oklo-U!
Big D needed in Stillwater for Juco glory...

30 minutes baby...Hub, this is epic stuff...
4th quarter...wow...
I'm hoping for a two-pointer.
I believe.
Either way, good game.
wow, I just won... nice game Brad.
Believing works!!
And the 2.... It f'ing does work!
Oklahoma is really good on offense.
Brad, great game again... the 2 weeks made it exciting.
State wants this game. That kickoff return was sweet. Even better not needing the possession. Dez got in front of the last guy. He definitely wants it.
There's a horse on the field.
If the Frase had played, they would have had 54 combined points out of their QB and TE.
Epic
Congrats Hubby
See you in the Tecmo
